Amusement Park

I dreamed I was lost in an amusement park, and some of the food vendors and games were closing up, so I knew it was about to close. I walked past a concession stand, and the window closed and latched on the inside. This put a sense of urgency for me to find the exit so I could get out before it closed. Just then, the bright, colorful lights of the Ferris wheel shut off, and the park got darker. I sped up my walking and headed to some lights off to the side, thinking this would lead me to the entrance of the park. But as I got closer to the lights, I could see they were from a parked truck that had hooked up a trailer, and it drove off, leaving me in an even darker part of the park. I turned around and ran the other way toward a few small lights. As I was running toward them, I passed a fun house with most of the lights out, but I could see some costumed characters above moving. I stopped and called up to the roof where they were and asked, "Do you know which way is the exit?" They froze and stared at me. I pointed in the direction I was going and said, "Is this the way to the park exit?" Still no answer, but I could see some of them moving down the side of the building toward me. This spooked me, so I began running again in the direction I was going. I looked back, and I could see a few of those amusement park characters following behind me, stumbling as they walked. I saw a bright light to my left, so I ran toward it. The light was coming from what looked like a supply building, and I could see a group of people stacking boxes, so I headed toward them. When I got there, I looked behind me, and the characters following me were gone. The people there said hello, and I asked them for directions to the exit. They told me which way and told me to hurry, or I would be trapped, and that it wasn't safe here. I turned in that direction and ran, and I could see the entrance again. Then I woke up.
