Found A Stray Cat

My dream started in my apartment while I was sitting on my couch. I heard a strange scratching noise coming from a window in a different room. At first, this startled me, but then I found a sense of calm and knew it wasn't a threat. I slowly got up from the couch and walked into the bedroom where the scratching noise was coming from. As I walked into the bedroom, I could see 2 yellow eyes looking at me from the other side of the window. For some reason, I was still calm, and I felt safe, so I moved closer. As I got closer, I could see that the yellow eyes were part of a black cat's silhouette. When I got to the window, I opened it up and let the cat inside. It jumped to the floor, sat down, and began licking itself. I sat on the bed, and the cat looked up at me and jumped on the bed. The black cat walked over to me, slowly climbed onto my lap, and lay down. I felt an even more calming feeling as it began to pur. I felt like I knew this being and it knew me, as if we had been friends for hundreds of years.
