Lost In a Busy City
2026-08-23
Dream Description:
I was walking through a huge city I had never seen before. The streets were packed with people rushing in every direction, and enormous buildings stretched so high that I couldn't see their tops. I knew I was supposed to meet someone, but I couldn't remember who or where.
I pulled out my phone to check the address, but the map kept changing every time I looked at it. Street names rearranged themselves, and the blue dot showing my location jumped from block to block. I tried asking people for directions, but everyone seemed too busy to stop. A few people answered me, but they spoke so quickly that I couldn't understand them.
I decided to take the subway. When I reached the station, there were dozens of platforms instead of just a few. Trains arrived every few seconds, their signs displaying names that disappeared before I could read them. I finally jumped onto one, hoping it would take me somewhere familiar.
When the doors opened again, I stepped out into an enormous downtown plaza filled with thousands of people. Giant screens covered the buildings, flashing advertisements and news headlines. Suddenly, I realized I had lost my phone.
I felt a wave of panic. I didn't know where I was, couldn't remember the address, and had no way to contact anyone. Then I noticed something strange: everyone around me had stopped moving. The entire city was completely frozen except for me.
In the sudden silence, I heard someone calling my name from somewhere down a narrow alley. I followed the voice, squeezing between two buildings. At the end of the alley was a small wooden door with a warm light shining underneath it.
Just as I reached for the handle, the city behind me suddenly roared back to life, and I woke up.
