Lost But Not Alone

I dreamed I was walking on a forest trail surrounded by trees. It started out sunny and warm, but I noticed it was starting to drizzle and it was getting dark. I realized that I didn't know where I was so I turned down a trail that was going down the hill, hoping it would lead me somewhere. The trees got fewer and fewer but I still didn't know where I was or where I was going. I noticed a small shelter ahead that just looked like a bus stop, but there was no street near by, only a dirt road. Since it was now raining I went to the shelter to take cover. I sat on a bench and looked around, but it was quiet and no one was around. I felt very lonely and lost. Then I heard something whining near my feet and I looked down and say a small black puppy with big sad eyes. I reached down and picked up the puppy and brought it close to my face and it licked my cheek. I felt a warm sense of companionship and love as I hugged the puppy close to me. Even though I was lost, I felt safe and secure with my new animal friend.
